We list some of our planned new features below.
You can see what's been added to the platform or is currently in test here.
Some certificates are only valid whilst prerequisites remain valid. We will be introducing a feature in which the validity of a certificate will also be checked against a defined set of other certificates. If one or more of the dependencies is no longer met, the certificate can be set to suspend and information will be available indicating the reason.
We will be introducing more detailed records of user activity so organisations can see what actions their staff have taken with respect to different certificates. Much of this information is already available on the platform in different locations, but we'll be making it easier to find and check.
Soon visitors will able to search for potential suppliers of a product or service, and results will be ordered based on relevant certificates held by the organisation and its associated staff. This will help promote value-adding certification schemes and reward those organisations that invest in accreditation and staff training.
Letting people know about your certification scheme can result in more uptake and wider adoption. We'll be offering a means to showcase different certification schemes to passing visitors and regular users.
To augment the API automation that we already offer, we'll also include some Zapier support with Zaps that you can integrate into your own 'no-code' processes. For example, automatically issuing a membership certificate once someone registers their details and pays through other Zapier-supported applications.
Sometimes certification bodies (CBs, like examiners) and accreditation bodies (ABs, like exam boards) are different organisations. Being able to coordinate activity and share relevant information is useful. We're working on some tools that will make this easier to set up and control.
We will be creating some new features that include watchlists to help organisations ensure their supply chain remain properly certified.
Facilitating the renewal process of certificates can avoid lapses in accreditation, improve compliance, and reduce administrative overheads. We will be rolling out some features to streamline the renewal of certificates issued from our platform.
Legacy certifcates can already be self-uploaded to the platform, but being sure that the pdf evidence is genuine is still problematic. In the future, users will be able to vouch they've seen the original to provide additional surety to the community.
