The website smart badge is designed to be added to your webpages.
- Image size. With the slider, you can adjust the size of the smart badge in terms of absolute pixels.
- Non-square sizing. When ticked, this removes the invisible padding around the badge that makes it square. Although the badge will occupy less space, if the certification mark were to be updated by the certification scheme owner at some point in the future to have a different aspect ratio, this setting may cause formatting issues for already-embedded badges.
- Dotted outline (preview only). This adds or removes the dotted outline from the badge preview. The outline is only shown for size reference and to indicate any border or margin, and will not be visible when embedded.
- Background (white, transparent or black). This changes the background colour of the image and any border within the smart badge. The certification mark file provided by the certification scheme owner needs transparent regions for this setting to be fully effective.
- BM visibility. This changes whether the BM icon is always visible, or only shows when a cursor hovers over it.
- Bottom/Corner/Above. Indicates where the BM will appear.
- Image variants. Certification scheme owners may have provided alternative versions of their certification mark, and when available these can be chosen from the menu.
- Display in greyscale. This option may be made available by the certification scheme owner.
Once you have adjusted all the settings so that the preview shows the smart badge correctly for your requirements, copy all the code from the box using the 'copy' button.
Manually highlighting the code in the box and copying using your keyboard shortcut doesn't always work. It really is best to use the 'copy' button provided!
The copied code should then be added to your website where you want it to appear. In the content management system (CMS) of your website (for example Wordpress or Joomla), you can usually view a page or a component / module as the html source code. You can then paste the copied smart badge code into this view in the desired location.
