You may receive a certificate as an individual, on behalf of an organisation you are associated with, or for a thing that you are a custodian of.
The certificate is created on the platform irrespective of whether the recipient already has an account set up.
You will be sent an email providing details about the new certificate and a link to manage it on the platform.
If you are sent a personal certificate to an email address already associated with you on the platform (this can be any of your validated emails in your settings; personal email addresses or work email addresses), the certificate will be automatically added to your personal received certificates area. When you next refresh the page or log in, the certificate will be there to manage, regardless as to whether you click the link in the email sent to you.
Your personal certificate is issued as private by default. If you do not yet have a user account, the certificate remains hidden from public view, but can be viewed by the issuer.
You will be sent an email providing details about the new certificate and a link to manage it on the platform.
If the organisation, based on the organisation identifier, already exists on the platform, the certificate will be automatically added to the organisation's received certificates area. When you (or a colleague with appropriate permissions) next refresh the page or log in, the certificate will be there to manage, regardless as to whether you or a colleague clicks the link in the email sent.
A certificate for your organisation may be issued as private or public by default, as determined by the certification scheme owner. The associated organisation profile is also created if one does not already exist.
You will be sent an email providing details about the new certificate and a link to manage it on the platform.
The certificate will be associated with the thing, but how you reach the certificate depends whether you are the custodian personally (for example, it is your car or home) or you are associated with an organisation that is the custodian (for example, a factory or commercial asset).
We'll be providing more details about this here soon.
