Some certificates are issued by other platforms. In some cases, we are able to mirror those certificates rather than you having to upload the evidence yourself.
Schemes that support this feature are listed when you proceed to mirror a certificate from your 'received certificates' area.
This is a new feature, so at the moment just the ICO Certificate of Registration can be mirrored. If you hold one of these certificates, you can enter your reference number (ZA123...) and check the details that are returned. If the details relate to your organisation, you can confirm and the mirrored certificate will appear in your 'received certificates' area.
Mirrored certificates are listed as such to differentiate them our on-platform digital certificates and those that have been self-uploaded. A digital certificate page is created with links to the evidence (the original certificate that is being mirrored) and/or the pdf of the certificate if available.
The advantage of this approach is that the original record can easily be reached by someone checking the certificate. You, as the recipient, can also manage the certificate in the usual way (sharing it with interested parties and keeping an eye on when it needs renewing), and show it on your / your organisation's profile page as appropriate.
If you issue certificates from your own platform (like the ICO) but would like your recipients to be able to mirror them on their profile, please get in touch, as we need to some behind-the-scenes configuration. In doing so, you'll be showcasing your schemes more widely, adding benefits to your recipients and potentially generating more applications and sales.
